Feeling Defeated

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” ~ Matthew 11:28-30

We all have experienced feelings of defeat at times in our lives. We may feel that the situation is impossible, with no way out, and afraid that there is no solution to our problems. But we must remember that fear is not from God. So when you’re feeling tired, worn, and defeated, stop trying to carry the burden, lay it all down, and surrender. God will fight our battles for us, and give us the strength to wait on His timing.

A Prayer For You
Father, I come before Your throne, laying everything that burdens me at your feet. Help me to find rest for my soul. I declare that it is well with me today because I am in the Lord. You said You will not leave me nor forsake me. You know every area in my life that causes me pain, whether it’s physical, emotional, or financial. Lord, grant me healing from my pain. Help me stand on Your word, trusting in You and believing You can bring peace to my soul. Thank You for Your strength and grace. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
